In Paheli, a ghost in love with a newlywed woman (Rani Mukerji) is portrayed by Shah Rukh Khan. Nevertheless, they must leave for Jamnagar on the very next day of the wedding to expand their business, and they can return only after five years. Lachchi’s life is entered by the ghost when he takes his form.It doesn’t take long for them to fall in love, and Prem also begins to befriend the family. During the birth of Lachchi’s first child, the family discovers to their horror that an impostor has posed as Kishanlal, Lachchi’s husband.
Families and towns cannot distinguish between the real and the impostor, so they approach the king and do his bidding, as they both look identical. As Kishan returns to the village, the question of who his true husband needs to be resolved.
A ghost escapes the bottle and takes over Kishan’s body to live with her at the very end of the film. The ghost reveals his identity to Lachchi through a daughter, Looni Ma, who was born after Lachchi gave birth to her. This was the end of the story of the movie Paheli.
